I had a little free time this afternoon so spent it working on the tractor. I figured the setup with the FEL, BH and MMM is pretty useless so decided to remove the MMM so I can do some other work the FEL and BH. So first task was removing the BH when went really well. Within 10 minutes, I had the BH off. However, I spent the next 45 minutes trying to mount the 3pt arm. The rod the 3 pt arm attachs too is still very stiff so I sprayed with a little WD40. After this I was able to move the rod with a crowbar. However, I probably moved the bar over a bit too much so now I am having difficulty getting any kind of leverage to move the rod back. I had to get back to work so left the tractor as it was frustrated with the **** 3pt. I can't imagine this is par of the course as I hear about people switching out the BH and MMM in a matter of minutes. Being a brand new machine, I might just take it back to the dealer and tell them to fix. Does anyone have any recommendations on how I can mount and remove the 3 pt arm without the troubles I am experiencing?

Shagenit its about the right tools for the job so a crowbar may not be ideal. Once you get it greased up it will be easier.

Yes, I didn't realize this initially but this is the case. I won't be using the
backhow and mower at the same time so no big deal. However, I hope it gets a little easier to add the 3pt control arm when I need to use the mower.

I didn't know that either. I wonder if that's the case for the BX25D?

No it's not. The mmm on the BX25 works with or without the backhoe attached so you can run all three at the same time if you are so inclined. Putting the 3ph on the tractor doesn't require a crow bar from my experiences either.

So am I getting this straight? Are you all saying with the B series tractor, you can't run the backhoe with the MMM attached? If that's the case, I may not want to trade up from the BX25. If I were going to be in rough terrain, I'd take the MMM off, but if not, I don't want to take the MMM off just to operate the backhoe. That sounds like a bummer to me.

No, I can work the backhoe with the mower attached. However, I have to take off the backhoe and mount the left 3 pt control arm to be able to raise and lower the mower to use it. I don't have a problem with not being able to mow with the backhoe attached but to also have to go through the process of mounting the 3 pt control arm is proving to be a real pain. I am still hopeful it gets easier but there is definitely more involved then just driving over the mower and attaching it which is all the promotional material states.

I didn't know that. Well, good luck. I guess that's just something we have to deal with when we buy a tractor that can do multiple things. You have to adjust some things to make some implements work.

Yeah I understand your frustration. One would hope you could use all three if desired. Sounds like the BX25 is superior in this aspect... Something else for me to consider in my shopping.

Thanks for your info and feedback! I'm sure the install and removal of the arm will speed up with practice. How many parts must be installed?

When I tried to put the 3ph on my former b2620, I had similar results and frustrations.
I finally found that I could take a Phillips head screw driver and insert in to the hole where the clip pin goes in the rod. I used a lot of spray lubricant on the rod while rocking the screw driver back and forth to get the bar free front to back. Then I took a pry/crow bar and moved the rod left to right. If I moved the rod to far to the left, I could insert the screw driver in the hole, and use the crow/pry bar to move the rod back to center. A good silicon lubricant
worked best for me.
I could move the rod with just my fingers after a while. :dance1:

Thanks for the tip! It is good to know that it will get better!
