I'm watching the radar over Texas and man there are some nasty storms starting up around Ft. Worth and heading North East. In about ten minutes all heck is going to break out on Lake Texacoma, and I hope no one is out there on a Sunfish.
How does one prepare their homestead for 200mph winds and expect to have anything left? Reinforced concrete block? Steel shutters?
And what kind of roof holds up best to super high winds?
What about all those ag buildings, the barns and storage bins, elevators, etc, etc. I wonder how they make out.
And how about the millions of dollars of expensive machinery in those barns. At least most of them are made to get wet.
The sight of cows and horses getting sucked up would sure spook me for a while.
