Very productive day today. Spent the morning hanging floor joists. Then this afternoon a couple family members showed up and we knocked out the T&G subfloor. I went with a product called DryGuard. It has a 180 day "no sand" guarantee against the elements. I really hope to have a roof on well before then! Tomorrow we are planning on setting the lower trusses. In all I have worked on this eight days, including the day to auger holes and a day to pour concrete. So only six days of actual construction.

I can not reiterate how lucky and blessed I am to have such wonderful family and friends.

And the view from the second floor:

Hope you all enjoy!

You are making great progress, will you have steel on the roof and walls?

Spent the afternoon putting up a third of the trusses. One row of the mono trusses are in. Taking a break for awhile, have to go back to work.

You are really making progress. Looks nice.

It's good to have a job to go to so you can rest up. It's funny how that works, but it's often true.

So now that I am home I can post a few things to the thread from my laptop. I promised some more pictures of the build as it stands so what I did is make some videos of time lapse photography. The photos were taken with trail cameras set to take a picture every minute during certain hours. I did not use each and every picture, there were of 1000 per day between the two cameras. Hope you all like.

Day 1b - YouTube

Day 1 - YouTube

These are two views of day one. They encompass roughly 11 hours of work. Auguring the 29 holes took all of 6 hours in its self. The next day my friends told me there is a company that comes and drills out the holes for $30 a hole. They use an auger mounted on the back of a ten wheel truck that would have been done in half the time. Oh well, I got some seat time in a skid steer. If I was to do another project like this I would most surely use the hole company though.
