Yes, the sun module will add regen to systems when this is not an option in the directional control valve. It does require external plumbing and I doubt is used on the vast majority of tractors since most valves designed for FEL use have this feature built into them.
Like glastron stated: The Sun modules offer some other options like load holding, automatic swith over from regen to full power dump (pressure operated) and are placed at the point of use to reduce the high line flows going through the directional valve.
To the OP: Some companies do offere both mechanical and electric control of the same valve stack. I do NOT know if the prince stack you are looking at offer this feature.
Having both electric and manual in the same valve stack is NO PROBLEM. Having manual and electric on the same control valve is what I have never seen. Maybe I'm just misunderstanding the statement? :confused3:
