What if the dealer won't or can't fix a problem?

4 times now.

I hear that high pinched, hydraulic-y whine.. but it sure sounds like mine. If I get out on the tractor tomorrow Ill double check if it is really there or a figment of my imagination

I've listen twice. The first time I heard nothing I felt unusual. The second time I listened because others say they hear it. Well, I wish I could say I hear something unusual but I don't. I've had a few BXs and they all sound a bit different from each other and I'm not saying I don't hear the high pitched whine but I've heard it before. Maybe I've had several bad "whatevers" to.
If you feel you can't live with it then start laying weights of some type all over your deck area, remove one blade, stuff foam padding in different places and see if you can find it. Some people have different hearing levels and some have points where certain pitch levels drive them crazy and other people it doesn't bother. I had a BX2660 and it had a sound different than the BXs before and certainly different than the BX25 which was the smoothest and quietest one of all.
I now use a Sony Walkman with ear buds playing Dick Deonde (Veonde) and the other DJs from the 60s and some Southern Gospel and some Praise and Worship and of course Henry Mancini and my Fs vibrate a little and emit a dull roar but Jerry Lee and The Cathedrals come thru louder.:dance1:
I'm not disagreeing that there is a high pitched whine and if it hits YOUR sore spot then find it and change it to higher or lower out of your personal bad spot.

What gear oil do you have in the gear box? have you tried draining it and see if there metallic flakes? put in synthetic? did you grease all 3 spindles plus pulleys? grease both ends of pto u joints. try again. I see no mention of that.

Next, please dont stand on the discharge side when engaging, I cant tell you how to handle your safety stuff on your tractor.
