The Last pictures of WaxMan's B3030, Congratulations to the new owner, Not a bad price, I wonder if "Waxing" had anything to do with it? 5 years and 690hrs later, I got back what I paid for it and they made some too.

Its nice when everyone comes out on the winning end. Even the new owner wins with his purchase. :cool2:

So true. We're not known to take short cuts either. :eek:

This cost saving discussion reminds me of my over-engineering/overbuilt little brother, who was said to make his projects "needlessly complex" which is a bit of an understatement.

WaxMan, So how do you like the 3240 compared to the 3030? Any comments yet, good or bad on the 3240? Sure is a sharp looking tractor! Stanley

Thanks Stanley, I like it, haven't used it much, but I really like the HST+ auto throttle. The backhoe and thumb are great. You would not believe the large 3 ft+ diameter 10 inches thick rock that was on the other side of my rock wall, reached over and picked it up with my thumb. Picked up that rock like it was nothing, placed it on the wall where I wanted it.
Boy I could have used that thumb in the last 30 years. What I really want my garage door section to come in. I hate seeing it out in the sun , the sun puts the most damage on a tractor.
Thanks for asking Stanley

WaxMan;

Can you explain the HST+ for some of us with plain old HST!

It's advantages and basic operation

Thanks

I know some of you wanted to see my door project when completed, still not completed but this is what it is so far. The door panel should be in tomorrow or Wednesday, the inside work was done 3 +weeks ago. Today I raised the outside header trim, the plywood is already cut out, once the door panel is in I'll just cut the old header beam behind the plywood and install the new side trim and finish the siding . The side trim showing in the last picture was just to align the top, the new trim won't be pieced. I do not expect the finished door to look that great, the panel will be added above the windows and may look funny, But I want to keep the tractor in the heated garage. It just makes it easier to add the things I want to the tractor and for plowing in the winter. Nothing is better than driving the tractor out of a heated garage with a door opener in a heavy snow storm.
