Hi, not sure where you are at, but on the boom, it look like you did some fish mouth weld on the reinforcement tips plates, but not on the dipper.
They are diagonal, but still pretty straight. Might wanna trim them to add a curve to it. Will end up having a better spread of tension force created by welding.

Thanks for the warning, I changed that detail earlier; the picture you're watching is not the latest one.

"Boom and bucket party" started today :)

Let me jump on the next available flight!!!

Is your bucket going to be tapered and have holes?
Read somewhere that is make it easier to drop sticky loads like clay.

I'm gonna build two buckets. The smaller one will have holes on the back side so the wet dirt can fall out easily.
Yes, I used the side teeth to get a 90 degree angle and a perfect alignment of Hardox plates. :)

Very nice looks like it came from the factory!

What make and type of welder are you using to stick these together?

We use chains for very sticky clay. One end is attached close to the digging edge and the other to the dipper. When the bucket is in digging position they are slack allowing bucket to fill. When the bucket is in emptying position they tighten pulling the content of the bucket out.

I know that mechanism. If necessary, it can be quickly mounted on my bucket. I'm using Varstroj SuperMIG 280 welding machine. Most of these parts were welded at 220-250 A. Wire thickness is 1.2 mm
