The casting # R42633 doesn't show up in the 300 parts catalog. Here's the destroking screw(parts key #6) that will fit a pump with no serial number tag. AR33249 which now subs to the following part #s

Where does it go? Does it replace #7?

Yes the DS screw goes in the same port that #7 would have to be removed from. Then screw DS screw down to stop all hyd pumping, crank engine, then screw DS screw CCW

Are these John Deere part #'s? Can I order them online? Also, is this where I would put it? (see pic).

The breakdown is different from my pump so that is why I want to make sure it is the right spot.

Alright. I'm still confused about something. What does the GPM rating on the control valves do? I know it's gallons per minute and I see where I can "get by" with a 8 GPM rig but what will work and why? What The problem is, is that I'm looking all over for a 3 spool with float to replace my old 2 spool so I can install a grapple in the future. Which I've only found one so far. They all have different GPM ratings. How will that affect the function? Is a 15 GPM faster, stronger than an 8 GPM? Is it more controllable? Will it even work? I need to know how the GPM relates to functionality so I can pick out a control valve. If I get a bigger valve what will happen etc.

The only 3 spool with float I have found is here:
Surplus Center - 3 SPOOL 25 GPM JOYSTICK LOADER VALVE W/GRAPPLE

It is a 25GPM with different size ports though and honestly I dont like the design. I don't have the knowledge of the way these systems work to make an educated decision on whether or not it will work for me. I'm wearing myself out searching for valves but don't know if the ones I find will even work. I prefer to learn about things and decide on my own but in this case I am going to refer it to the experts. I'm on a timeline to get the backhoe rolling so gotta get something ordered soon.

I want a 3 spool with float control valve to replace my 2 spool. Anyone know of any that will fit the bill?

Thanks for all the help, sorry to ask the same question twice.

Also are my ports 8's, How can I tell?

Best bet is trying to get as close to the gpm available as you can. Too little flow and things can be really slow. Too many gpm and you can't accurately feather the hyd. Look at their stack valves. The prince sv sreies works, but their 20 series is better matched to thr gpm. I used the sv series on my 301a and it works pretty good. Does get hot after a while when using the loader a lot. Depending on the prices this month at surpluscenter.com they may be pretty close to the same in price.

Nevermind. It's open center.

I believe #8 matches to 1/2" npt. Not 100 on that. I used #8 to 1/2npt adapters when I replaced the valve. The original adapters from the cessna valve were a size or 2 up.

Stack valves?

This is where I guess I need to see what the actual GPM of my unit is, like was suggested earlier and try to match that? Off the main implement line with a 5 gal bucket?

What's the rating on the sv series and the 20 series?
