Walmart Manager Called Me!

My wife shops at Wal-mart, Kroger, Albertson, Dillards, Sears, Pennys, Lowes, Home depot and any and all local stores all over town, in town or out of town,, I shop at Spec's.:laughing:. Lou

I don't support the way they treat their employees.

I don't really know enough about "the way they treat their employees", but I have visited quite a bit with some of their employees and the only ones I've spent any time visiting with are really happy with Walmart and glad to have a job there. But then, what company or organization of any size doesn't have some employees who dislike their job, their boss, or the way they are treated.:confused3:

I prefer to shop like Lou! I am not much of a shopper anyway. TSC is more my speed, and our local Gibson's has a nice sporting department.

Not shopping at Walmart says I will not support their policies, in regard to "country of origin" of their goods, and I don't support the way they treat their employees. You are free to spend your dollars however you see fit. I prefer to help my neighbor have a better paying job, with a fair management.

It's all in how you look at it, and how important you think your actions are, long term.

I am the same way... Despise them!!

Lou, I've never bought a case, but the last bottle of 12 year old Chivas Regal was $54.49 in February of last year.:laughing:

A couple of years ago a daughter and her husband gave me a bottle of single malt scotch that tasted even better than Chivas Regal. I've forgotten the brand, but naturally it was more expensive than Chivas Regal, so I decided Chivas was good enough.

But then the last time I was in Goody Goody's, 3 months ago, I got to talking to another customer who was older than I (and there ain't many of those still living) and he told me about McGavins single malt scotch. It was $44.99 and sure enough, better tasting than Chivas.

Our local town, Bowie, TX, went wet a couple of years ago. Now, the tea-totallers would say our drought is the Lord's vengeance for our transgressions, but I love the fact that I can now buy a case of Shiner Bock at the local Walmart. BTW: Shiner is made in America from American sourced products by American workers (and Texans to boot). Except for a little taste of Bourbon now and then, I don't drink the hard stuff anymore, but I sure like a cold Shiner's while sittin' in the shade on a hot summer day.
