Kubota M5640SUD
photo (1).jpgI'm getting close to 50 hours on my M5640SUD so I stopped by the local Kubota dealer to find out about the recommended service and to get a price.

The quote was $769.80 plus $160.00 to haul it back and forth to the service shop.

The service can't be that difficult to do myself.

I did my B3300SU 50 hour service myself & I'm a total newbie to this stuff! Give it a try! I read, read & re-read my manuals. I watched YouTube videos & read threads on TBN & it went smoothly all things considered. I bought a complete set of filters from a Kubota dealer on eBay, my SUDT2 fluid from another dealer via Amazon, my Shell Rotellla oil from Walmart.

Thanks Canuck...I'll check it out. The dealer's price on fluids and filters weren't that much more than Messicks (before shipping costs). Any particular difficulties?

Yeah I about Crapped my pants when i realized how much just the material was going to cost to do the Brake in on my M8540 be glad you don't have to buy 17 gallons of hydraulic Oil just the tranny SUDT2 and filters was about $480 plus tax then about another $100 for AMSOil and Engine oil filter , Plus almost a case Gear oil for the front axle ~10 quarts the manual was wrong. I can't even imagine what they would have quoted me. Material cost for me was over $600
