Well, ever since Daimler wrecked Chrysler & they filed for bankruptcy, Fiat saved them so Fiat gets to dictate. That's why you don't see a Cummins 4 cylinder in the half ton pickups. In fact, Cummins was afraid of losing the heavy duty pickup account at first.

So the wonderful world of global finances has produced this poor marriage. And we still wait for a good half ton diesel combo. Ridiculous.

I wonder why Cummins never gad a clause in the deal stating exclusive supplier ?

I did a quick search and found nothing about a 4.4. I doubt it is in the near future.

It is 50 lbs less than the hemi. That says to me, the engine weights 50 lbs more than the hemi and payload capacity is holding numbers down. The low payloads of the 1500 won't allow much tongue weight when compared to the competition.

Payload, that has always been the short end for Dodge.

Anything short of 10,500# tow rating is disappointing. 9500# was the standard in 2004, not 2014.

Dodge has never gone for big 1/2 ton towing. That's what the 3/4 and 1 ton Cummins powered trucks are for.

That will be a dream truck. Now if I could get a factory built F350 SRW 6 cylinder Cummins.

When is the new Titan coming out? I think the new 6.7 PSD is doing pretty good so far.
