Duramax problems! No parts for 2 months

HAHAH.. ok. Myth.

Love it when a brand fan defends thier honor. Its ALWAYS the 'other guy' thats bad, and all 'their' problems are made up or over blown. :)

Not at you Will..

I have seen more fleets that were running light duty trucks. From GM, Ford, & Dodge trade up to medium duty up here simply because light duty trucks are grossly over priced for what you get.

Why spend $70,000+ on a light duty truck when you can get an FL IH, or Hino and be better off over the long haul?!

You are forgetting that Ford denied many claims for injector pumps blaming the vehicle owner fir water contamination, while GM quietly replaced them!!

Every brand has had its fair share of problems. My point was, that only the 'brand fans' dont know that (or, at least, acknowledge)

I know they all do, which is exactly why i refuse to buy a used diesel... Scares me because i would be the one that would end up with needing injectors, or worse. And not being inclined enough to work on these new diesels, the repair would kill me.

I am a die hard GMFan, but my next truck could be a Cummins powered dodge.

Not that I couldnt work on a diesel, but my back wont let me :) Small, aluminum heads are sooo much nicer to pull

You really need to find another dealer...I've had a few minor issues over the years which were out of warranty but should have never happened. My dealer went the extra mile and covered them, that's why I continue to buy from them...Service depts. don't have a ton of latitude but if their relationship with their regionals is solid, you'd be surprised what they can do..

Aside...DP (Chris), last time the catastrophic failure on the S-10 was supposedly a transfer case---Now it has morphed into the engine exploding along with the hood...First mention of that one....I'll stay tuned for more. Good grief.

Not at all. Call me a liar and you will have a problem you dont want!

I have stated from day one that the 4.3 blew up on my Blazer with less than 30K on it. Go back and reread my many post on the subject. I had to fight to get it covered under warranty, 3yr 36k at that time, with a lawyer. It took about 3 months and to add insult to injury GM's policy was no loaner for anyone under 21 which I was at the time. So I was good enough to sell a $30,000 truck to but not good enough to give a loaner to. Total BS.

Go back and reread before you make accusations of me lieing or falsifying stories. I have no need to.

Chris
