Honestly the truck wasn't worth saving, good drivetrain and that's it. Minor engine problems that were easily fixable but I was so tired of it I wouldn't spend another dime on it..

That is one of the problems with keeping these old girls. You simply get tired of driving them. Too bad, because with the modern cab features, the old engines and drive trains are something I could live with.

Id probably still hold onto the running gear. Thats the most sought after part. Engine/trans etc. would make a great swap into just about anything.

Most of the old Dodges were used up. They were often worked hard and put away wet. The truth is the newer trucks are much better all around, but those early 12 valves were so simple in design and very inexpensive to fix. You could probably buy a set of injectors for the cost of one injector on a common rail.

Even if they did I'm not sure if they would put a diesel in it. Not all VW models are offered with a diesel.

Nothing. Just ask DHS what paperwork will be needed to import it .
