Remember, we are dealing with a US gallon here and across the pond its Imperial gallons.

So their gallon is 1.2095 US gallins or 21% more.

If they claim they are getting 35mpg thats really only 27mpg. If they claim 44mpg that is really about 34mpg. If they claim they are getting 50mpg thats really 39mpg. Ect.

I guess that is some of it but i think they still get MPG's but there gas is twice as much.

A Focus in the UK can get upto 83.1 MPG. I guess that is a imperial gallon. What would that be in regular gallons?

That is what I always have wondered. I wish I had a gas tank full to try.

I heard that the cleanest diesel fuel in the US is not as good as the dirtiest in Europe.

ULSD (the current US spec for Diesel) is 15PPM of sulfur. Euro V diesel (their current spec) is 10PPM. The old US spec diesel had 500PPM of sulfur.

The cleanest diesel on the planet is Swiss, but does not generate as much power as CDN/USA diesel.

Had the pleasure of chewing the fat with Boije Ovebrink (Mean Green) at Truck World 2012 snd he said he could feel the difference in Mean Green when running our NA diesel... More power vs Swiss diesel, but not as clean,

His new FH760 was in the parking lot... Sweet truck!!

Dont believe its that great a difference.. The MUST be a difference in the testing... What thew real world mileage?
