Looks like good stuff. Questions:
>How long does it last?
>Does it wear off?
>Price?
>Flexible?
>Negatives?

It would be nice to cover a car, windows of any kind, tractor paint, greasing areas, snow blades, and many other uses.

However, contrived demonstrations of products that only show the positives and no negatives should be viewed suspiciously. Think "snake oil".

I believe it to be snake oil. After watching several videos.. several drawbacks.. if put on clothing, cant wad it up, leaves a "starchy" feel, also oil from your hands seem to nullify the effect.. If you want to treat something to repel water and water based compounds and you don't crease it, it does work, but it sure doesn't look practical to me.

I think that is the stuff that was making the rounds in those viral videos last year. Its pretty cool, but its not FF.

We used to apply FF by the gallon to equipment that saw salt. It worked great for that.

One of my favorite uses for FF is when I get a bit or water on tools. I used to have to take an oily rag and wipe them all down, but now I just let them dry and spray them with FF.

Another use I like it for: when I take the cover off my backhoe hydraulic valve, I spray those plungers that I can see with FF. Periodically I have reason to check under there, and it looks about the same as the day I sprayed it to begin with.

One thing I have thought of trying it for...I wonder if I could use it to wipe down the front bumper areas of my car for the purpose of having the bugs come off easier.

We have many heavy truck dealers that sell it exactly for that purpose. Many International and Navistar dealers sell Fluid Film to keep the bugs and road tar off the front of the cabs. They just apply a thin coating and wipe it in gently like a car wax. Anything that sticks to it will wipe right off. We also gave dealers that sell Fluid Film to waste management companies. They coat the dumpsters in high graffiti areas. The paint won't stick.

Thanks for the comment and confirmation of that possibility. I think I will give it a try soon for stuck bug duty.

Here's an old indian trick someone showed me last summer: Take a dryer sheet and dip it in water. Rub it on the front of your vehicle to remove bugs. Works pretty slick. I do it all the time on truck, Mustang and Harleys.
