Roger,
I haven't figured out how to multi-quote, but I have some comments. The 1816 and the Max series are quite a bit different, although they share some components. Certainly they are similar. I think the 1816 was pushed as a CUT for a time, as the thought was to try to show it more capable than a typical tractor it's size, so it was arbitrarily call a CUT by most dealers. I'm not sure if Mahindra ever categorized it as either. You know, outside of TBN, CUT means you hurt yourself and need a bandaid. And SCUT means you can't spell CUT and you have your cap locks on.

I think the 1816 should have been pushed more as a SCUT. But again, that was arbitrary. If your thought is that it was declared a CUT at some point by Mahindra and therefore it remains so, we can raise many objections to that argument.
You might give me some dimensional references about how much larger a Max is then it's SCUT brethren of different brands. Is it an inch or two here and there, or a foot or so? A Max 25 is no giant of a tractor. Just a capable tractor of the size that most people with a half acre to 5 acres might envision as perfect. In that manner, it is certainly a SCUT.
You didn't truly grasp my Ford vs Chevy point, but I suppose that is because I did not make my point well enough. It actually supported your argument, just to show you I do understand your thought process, I just disagree.
It seems we have really sidetracked the original question. I'm ready to just say we differ and that all Mahindra tractors, however you want to classify them, have position control. There we go, answered the question without complication. With at least this last paragraph, you will be hard pressed to argue. I wish you well, and I appreciate your posts.
