Still looking for the proof you have stated in your last paragraph about the HIGHER GRADE components in the John deere and Kubota tractors verses other brand tractors?Just curious? This is NOT a slam as I own both JD and Kubota products.
I would need to see proof also.
I owned a John Deere 850 for 15 years.
I have owned my Kioti DK 35 for for 12 years..
My Kioti DK is every bit as well built, solid and reliable as my John Deere .

John Deere must be doing something that people like...they have kinda dominated a few markets for quite a few years.
I think what you are saying is...an LS is a good (not great), tractor for the money...for non comercial, non farm use. But if you want the best, and can afford it, then JD or Kubota is what you want. I agree completely with you there, and I would add... I think the LS would be a good choice if it had more hydraulic flow, more loader lift height, a little stronger of a 3 point, and maybe a self leveling loader, and a better transmission, and better fuel economy. That 8gpm hydraulic flow (slow cycle time), and low lift height has got to hurt using the loader.
I would also like to see a better dealer-parts-service network with the LS.

How many ways can you insult a company?

Have you owned or used a LS tractor for commercial farm use?For that matter even operated one?If not how can you say it,s not the best for non commercial or non farm use?Pretty broad statement IMHO.

There a few Boomers around my neck of the woods, and I have to admit that they are great for pulling a drag section around a horse arena and things like that.

That is my point also.Had to work out quite a few bugs in my 2006 Kubota RTV 900(hard shifting, rattle in drive shaft, slipped shifting in the fork)I guess these were not some of the higher grade components used by Kubota. My JD X740 has only been back to the dealership once for warrenty work with 56 hours on the clock.

And we have a John Deere 425 on its third engine, a 2305 on its second with a hydraulic cylinder failure in thirteen months and not covered by warranty with various other trips to the dealer for repairs. Our Kubotas have been relatively trouble free. You really can't make valid assessment based on a few incidents.

They are all junk when they don't work.

Boy ain't that the truth.

Like has been said time and time again "THEY ALL BREAKDOWN" ;)

I keep telling my sons that, my oldest son wouldn't touch our M8540 for close to a year as he didn't want to be the first to break something. He got over that real quick when my grandson set a field on fire, he used the FEL and bucket to control it until reinforcements could arrive then used it to pull stuck trucks out.

Not long ago one of my sons called upset that something had broken and I told him, if you use tractors, you are going to break something sooner or later so don't worry about it.
