I'll be interested to see how the servo valves tie into the tractor hydraulics and whether they require closed center.

Right now I am considering using the third remote set to power the two Danfoss proportioning valves. Open center setup, so I will likely need a flow divider ahead of the two valves so that both can function at the same time. I was told that 6 gpm to each valve was more than enough for good response time. I will probably need to turn this circuit off to use the other two circuits but I can live with that. Most adjustment to the tongue should be infrequent and should be true for the scarifiers too.

If I did enough of this work in good weather I could see using an older 3020 or 4020 tricycle tractor with closed center hydraulics. Two wheel drive would be more appropriate where you are making lots of turns. The ground I would be using this for is almost flat bottom land so slopes are not an issue with the narrow fronts, being able to turn tight enough to stay between the borders (terraces) is important.

How about a high crop tricycle tractor with your box blade belly mounted?
Sure would be easy to see the blade!

Nice old tractors you have. I remember seeing a stretch high crop tractor somewhere on the net too.

I'm guessing the two Danfoss proportioning valves are open center type? The reason I'm asking is otherwise the pump flow would have to go over the system relief valve most of the time.

Yes the SD valves are open center, you can set this system up with either open or closed centers. Both of my current tractors and a new 5xxx tractor would all be open center hydraulic systems. I am planning on having a relief valve for these two valves and will set it a 200 psi above what is needed once I test the system.

What happened to the beast build project? Did I miss the video?

Ford850

I suspect EA will post a video when they can get to it.

They've been busy documenting what the underside of a white kioti looks like while laying on its side :) and showing improvements that they've made to their implements

As what typically happens, the thread has been hijacked/deviated/punctured/altered/split.....

No offense guys, but with all the interest in the wheeled boxes and related hydraulics perhaps a separate thread is in order? Just sayin....

I agree I keep seeing updates to this thread hoping for more info on the beast but its just more unrelated stuff each time.
