Dang! One thing isn't enough for you, Foreman? You just don't need the rest of that. I hope you are over virus soon. God bless you, man. When it rains, it pours.

Whew, if it weren't for bad luck, you'd have no luck at all. Hope things get better for you soon.

Speaking of voodoo waternomics, I think you may have some parking lot jobs in Boulder. . . if you can catch them as they float by. Sheesh! What a mess, and God bless those folks who are dealing with it.

Jim, I'd love to be there right now, but not for painting. Those poor folks could have never prepared for what there going through. I would love to be gold paning there in a month though:eek:

Almost 3/4" in Colorado Cty. today. Hoping for more tomorrow.

Rain Dance waves finally getting down here. Thanks to the Dancers!

Rick

Love that country South of there, had a deer lease outside of Silver city that was awesome.

Heck with the rain Foreman, you best worry about getting all that hay bailed your fixing to grow:thumbsup: Do what the doc says, health is more expensive to replace than most anything else.

We have been getting a light sprinkle for several hours, but looking South towards Weatherford, I can see what appears to be some nice rain coming my way:thumbsup:

Well it is overcast and misting.. can't see the full moon.. Sorry Ron.. but I got good news also.. The scotch is good and the ice water is from Fiji.. it is untouched my human hands.. what about monkeys? anyway it's printed on the label.. not that I would give a crap.. I say water is water unless it got salt and pepper in it.. then it's some kind of soup.. Talking about soups.. I like tomato soup with crackers on a cold winter night.. Talking about winter,, I like the fall weather with tree leaves turning shades of gold.. harvest, football and cool weather,, I know that Dennis will understand this.. right? Lou

Darn the luck! We just lost power at 8:30 PM. I'm running my modem and router off my backup battery right now and using my laptop. Without anything else on the battery, it should last pretty long, maybe a couple of hours. I went onto Wise Elec Co-op's website and it looks like the main feeder that runs down hwy 101 from Sunset south almost to Chico is out. That line feeds us and lots more people between Sunset and Alvord. It's the same power outage that took 3 hours to fix the last two times it failed.:(

0.6' in the gauge at 0500, and still raining! It has been a nice slow rain, so should make the ryegrass seeds happy! Supposed to rain most of the day, and a high of 78*. I am in barns all day, so I can handle that!

foreman; Take care, and don't push things. Hope the headache goes away, as those really are painful. Best wishes for a speedy recovery going forward from here.

Lou; You always see the good parts, and bring a smile to my face! If we cross paths in the future, I'll buy you a bottle of good scotch, to say THANKS for sharing those thoughts and smiles!

My rain gauge is showing about an inch and three-quarters, and we're still getting a light rain. That's the biggest rain we've had in one night this year.:dance1:

Power was off for an hour and then back on for less than 10 minutes and off for another 1/2 hour last night. It finally stayed on just in time to watch the 10 o'clock news. This fall, I'm building my generator shack and transfer station. I already have the building kit delivered and just need to put it up. It arrived just a couple of days before my recent surgery, so I have it covered with a tarp to protect the packaging from the weather. I just don't want to have to remove a soggy box.

So, my grandson and I were standing at the door staring toward the rain gage this morning before sun-up. It's about 20' from the door across a very wet deck. I couldn't see it, but he said it had 2" in it. I scoffed and laughed at him because I was sure we didn't get that much. So, he goes and gets a flashlight and shines it on the gage. Sure enough, it's at 2". WOW! I didn't mind having to eat crow for breakfast. According to my grandson and wife, it rained really hard for 45 minutes around 3 AM. It woke them up, but I slept right through it. I would not believe it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. The weather service rainfall maps don't show it to be that much, so it must be that we had a small storm park over our house at 3 AM. It is VERY wet out this morning and I don't have to water anything. I even got my grass cut yesterday morning. WOOHOO!!!

Jinman,

It's still raining and it rained all night. Just checked the guage and we have 3 1/4".

Last night about 1700 we headed south to Mineola and it looked like the bottom was falling out down there and nothing happening to the north. When we got to the new Mexican restaurant in town it was still pouring and we got a little wet getting in the door, but I enjoyed my dash thru the drops.
When we left it rained on us all the way home, then rained fairly slow an steady all night then about 0600 the sky really opened up.

FG,

That "Dancin' with Texans" and Shiner Bock seems to be "Big Medicine".

Careful Foreman, There will be a time when some cowboy says the same thing about your wife! Wait until she gets out of nursing school:D (Gotta love a girl in uniform:D)

Still a steady drizzle, this has been just the perfect rain, slow and steady. .76 in the gauge, so my food plot and the bag of rye I put out up on the hill should start well.

Jim, hate to bust your "bubble" brother, BUT after you lost power last night, Bird and I felt we could do something to "lift your spirits", Soooo, we went over last night and added 1.8" to your rain gauge!!

I got sleepy and went to bed last night before 9 o'clock, but my wife tells me we had a power outage, so she missed the last of the Rangers game. Apparently it didn't last long. And my rain gauge has now gone over 2" and still raining. It's wonderful.

Same problem here. We use binoculars to see what's in the gauge plus I inked the inch marks.
All set to go to TSC and get Rotella on sale for $30 till Sunday but called my NH dealer to see if he had engine oil and hydraulic filters for both my tractors. He said:"sure we ought to have them." So I told him to check the shelf not the computer as I didn't want to drive all the way in there for nothin. Sure enough, he didn't have one for the CNH 4020.
Supposed to be in next week, but I will call to make sure before going. The few bucks saved on the Rotella wouldn't pay for the gas to get there.
Called NAPA and they don't even list the 4020 in their catalog.
A couple years ago the oil and hydraulic filter total for the CNH was $70 at the dealer. I about switched to a toilet paper filter, but used the last roll for emergency wipe, when hearing that filter price..:D

Do any of you buy your tractor filters at other than the original equipment dealer?

Ron

Ron, I use NAPA also, but they only carry the oil filter. The hydraulic filter and fuel bowl I have to get from the dealer, but my H filter is less than $20
