where to do hydro oil

/ where to do hydro oil #21
I contacted my dealer and he is sending me that parts.

He said that his mechanic had run into some issues with having to tap the filler neck to get the fitting to work, and was worried about getting metal chips into the hydro system, so he started omitting the return kit. Never had anyone complain. Either way, I am going to install it. If I have to tap the filler neck, I will wait until I am doing the 50hr service and deal with the prospects of metal chips then.

You should not have to tap anything, I don't think he knows what he's talking about.

That could be. But, I think he meant that the filler neck thread was not an exact match for the fitting, so he had to chase it to get the fitting in - that is what I took from it. It could have been that he just had to chase the PC out - who knows?

Not so. Get the kit and post a picture of it

Not so. Its pipe thread!

Calm down. Just the messenger.

Either way, the guy said he had to chase it, so it could have been built up PC...again....who knows? It's nothing to get worked up about.

EDIT - quoted before your edit. Still the same, though.

When it comes in and I install it, I will report back if I ran into any trouble.

If he had to tap the filler neck, it would be because he cross threaded the fitting.

Obviously, since it is impossible for Kioti to make a part incorrectly or get too much powder coat in it. I'm going to call the dealer this morning and tell him that he is a lying a-hole, just so he knows that I know that you know that he knows he's a liar.

WTF?

The parts were waiting on me when I got back home. Plan to install them tomorrow.
teflon tape on the fittings, or no?

The fitting that replaces the fill cap has an o-ring, so I am guessing it is not necessary, at least on that one.

Good Guess, No tape on this fitting.

WTF???
They don't install them because they don't think they need them, its one more thing to do.
I watched the dealer almost cross thread mine.
Said he has boxes of the kits stacked up and had never heard of the problem I had with my hoe.
Said he couldn't figure out why they kept sending those kits with the hoes.

Call your dealer and tell him anything you want, but he's feeding you a line of BS IMO.
