As long as you leave the loader on, you will be fine with the 2660.
I dont put too much stock in what the manual says regarding cutter weight. It is still only weighs half of the lift capacity of the tractor, and its not like you are abusing the hitch by pulling and pushing like a box blade would. The weight is really all the hitch is holding, and thats only while transporting, cause 90% of the time cutting, the weight is mosty supported by the tailwheel. Just make sure the stabilizers are tight and the cutter isnt swinging violently side to side.
I have a 1100# 6' cutter on my L3800. So the weight is a tad farther back. No issues in 2 years with it.
When it comes to bushhogs, two things. Weight, and gearbox HP. The 2660 is a nice unit for some serious clearing with that tractor.
I am the wrong one to ask about price though. I have never bought any new implements. I buy used ones off c-list for a fraction of the cost of new.
