My list

John Deere 5055E

1. key switch is too low- I have to bend way down to find the hole to put the key in.

2. Seems like reverse is way too fast for bush hogging when backing up with 9x3 transmission.

3. boots that goes over shifter levers is way to cheap made.

4. There is no easy way to get on the tractor from left side but in there defense most tractors have this issue.

5. No four wheel drive light when engaged I do not like.

6. No rear work light from factory (This I just could not believe)

7. No drink holder

8. I wish there was more area enclosed by feet like my New Holland.

9. Plastic hood seems like it should be a little better braced especially when opening it.

Other than that I really love the tractor.

New Holland TN70

1. Seems like allot of stuff hangs down underneath on it that can be easy to catch and tear up if not careful.

2. The button adjustment for 3 point hitch could be a little easier to set.

3. No cup holder

39 hp engine in a 5000 lbs. machine. Instant FAIL.

Fred

I'll go you one better.... a 30hp diesel engine on tractor that weighs about 2000 lbs. Other than that, the JD 790 has no flaws!!! :)

Worthless tool box.
Hate filling the fuel tank through the hood.
Stereo has no headphone jack.

My L5740
- parking brake easy to drive through, light not bright enough to really warn. My M135Gx has a horrible sounding screech alarm that is great.
- cup holders suck. Useful only for small part holders.
- steering column and my knee aren't at all compatible. Side of knee is always bruised - I run with the seat swiveled to the right because so much time is spent looking back.
- rear warning light protection. Both of mine are broke off from T&R limbs. Fronts are different design, better protected, still in fine shape. Rear work lights also mounted to same brackets are also okay.

Hydraulics. Can't actuate two functions at the same time. For instance, can't raise and curl (or dump) the FEL simultaneously. Can't crowd and curl the BH bucket. Can't dump the BH while swinging, etc.

Now these things IMHO are mostly due to hydraulic flow. These CUT hydraulic systems are designed to operate the 3pth and everything else is an add on that isn't calculated into the factory design. Now that said It should work as you want just not as good, I have the same problem with my FEL it just takes having the control lever(s) in the perfect position to divert the low flow more than one way which is kinda slow! :confused3:

Kubota L3410 hst -

1) gets chores done so fast,it limits seat time :(
2) fuel tank is so large and it sips fuel so slowly, I get tired running it from dawn to dusk.
3) it never breaks, so I don't get any enjoyment out of doing repairs.

1963 Ford 4140 TLB.

1) no diff lock. Even with 650# of loaded tires, 1000# wheel weights and a 3000# BH traction still stinks backing up a steep incline with a full 1 yd bucket of wet clay.

Kubota BX23:

1. Plastic HST fan that is not shielded, and no belly pan to protect it. Part is cheap, but supposedly takes 7 hours of shop time to tear the tractor apart to replace it. I solved the problem (hopefully) by adding Bro-Tek front and rear belly pans.

2. Seat is horrible.

3. No parking brake light. I just got the tractor and haven't used it much, but I've probably driven it further with the parking brake on than off.

4. No tach.

5. Flasher, turn signal and light switches are cheap and not water proof/resistant. If it sits out in the rain, all sorts of weird things happen with the lights and flashers. I've already replaced all three switches with more weather resistant switches.

Other than those nits, I really like the BX23. #1 above is the only serious flaw, but it is easily remedied with the aftermarket belly pan.

Kioti DK50SE HST Cab

1. Only thing I've found in my limited seat time so far is the radiator screen is a split design that sucks to remove and replace. Something that needs to be checked and cleaned often should be easy to remove and replace.

2. Oh, and one teensy, tiny little nit is that the Volume and Tune knobs on the radio are reversed from any radio I've ever operated in 61 years on this planet. This one has Volume on the right and Tune on the left. Really? What's wrong with just leaving something alone that ain't broke?

I have no complaint about my seat. Maybe because I've spend so many hours on these:

The Factory seat is uncomfortable and the tool box was too small. BTW, I love my Kubota L4400.

I agree 100% ! I found a larger seat with arms on ebay. Still need to upgrade the tool box.

Your seat on your BX2360 is far different than the seat on my BX23TLB. Kubota has learned a thing or two about seats since they made mine. In fact, they had a program where they would replace the seat for free but that expired a couple of years ago and I just bought my BX23 a month ago.

Oh, and I've spent thousands of hours in a seat like that on a couple of old Minneapolis Moline tractors. Those are actually fairly comfortable (to me) because the shape is anatomically correct, which eliminates the hot spots you get with the new flat seats. In fact, I'd take one of those old ones with a cushion every time over one of these new seats.
