BX2370 FEL
Hi All,

I just hit the 50 hr. mark on my BX2370. I am sure this might have been covered before but could not find anything under a search.
The question?is it ok to run Amsoil Heavy Duty Diesel & Marine synthetic oil in this machine or is it a no no?? I know it is pricey but I run it in my Dodge Cummins and would rather use one oil for both if I can. Plus were only talking 3.3 quarts so not as bad as a change on the Ram. Any input would be appreciated.

What grade is the HDD&M? What does kubota call for? As long as it meets the ambient temps, you should be ok.

If it meets your tractor engine specs. (5w40,15w40,etc, etc,)Yes, you can run it. I run it in my tractor and my 5.9 Cummins

Been running it in tractor for years all the different ones we have owned. Currently it is in two skid loaders, four dump trucks, three rollers motor grader with 130 horse cummins, backhoe, tar truck. Service truck runs oil for DPF filters but still amsoil brand. We have had no oil problems since 1983 using their products. Also use grease and gear oil produced by them. Also in two pavers 39 horse and 100 horse

I never revealed what oil I used in my tractor because soo many people have this antiquated view of Amsoil and start crying immediately that it's a Multi level marketing business. Then I pointed out ALL products that they buy are MULTI LEVEL MARKETING. Ie your food goes from the farmer to the wholesaler to the distributor to the store - that's multi-level marketing. All other products do from manufacturer, wholesaler store then to you.

Now to answer your question. I had the same Amsoil in my tractor for over 15 years and the tractor runs like new - ( It's an 80's Kubota ) You heard me ONE oil change in over 15 years and I never added a drop of makeup oil.

If you study the FLASH POINT on Amsoil, it beats most of the popular oils.

It used to be hard to get but not any more. I go to the web site order it and two days later it's on my door stop.

You might have just jinxed yourself. Amsoil is good oil but 15 years? You must not use your tractor much. I saw an engine in a pick up that had run Amsoil and hadn't been changed for 50,000+ kms. It was acting up and had no power. After 3 attempts using motor flush to clean it up, there was still what looked like flakes of shredded rubber under the valve covers. Synthetic oil can go for longer change intervals but just because the dipstick shows full, isn't a reason to not change it. It still gets contaminated and the filter can only do so much.

I don't think you understand what true multi-level marketing is. Some companies have clever ways to get around it but it is not the same as a manufacturer/grower selling to a distributor and then that distributor sells to different dealers. The manufacturer gets paid once. The distributor gets paid once. The dealer gets paid once. Multi-level marketing is illegal because the manufacturer would get paid kick backs(for lack of a better term) from the all the distributor sales plus the dealer sales. The distributor would get "kick backs" from all the dealer sales and so and so on. That's why it's called a pyramid scheme and is illegal.

Awesome!!! I know some people swear at Amsoil but I swear by it. Thanks for the replies….at least I know it has been tested and proven in Kubota diesels. I will change it up tomorrow with a new filter.

I use the Amsoil 10W30 small engine oil in my New Holland and change it every fall.
