There are a couple books that are interesting reading about Rin Tin Tin, his owner, and GSD's. Also the other early famous GSD Braveheart too.

Another good Robert Mitchum movie is 'Mr. Moses' ....it's hard to find and rarely on TV but it is a very good movie...

That's the original...a later version was made with Nick Nolte...Mitchum had a cameo role in the remake...

'Mr. Moses' is set in Africa...it is very hard to find on DVD etc...Mister Moses (1965) - IMDb
