oh what a beautiful day, it's 74 degrees, somewhere...
somewhere.....

Yep expected 25c today 77f.....and I'm loving it. :)
Only problem is I've got another 28 trees to knock over. then there's the trimming, and the hauling away, and then the burning.

Might get done by Christmas. (that is if it doesn't get too dry and they put in a fire ban)

Good afternoon! 48˚ cloudy, strong north wind, getting colder.
It looks like I have to find another tree to cut down while my need to split logs are used for lawn decoration.

The Fedex site has updated my schedule delivery to be 7 days late because of the weather.

Local Fedex pretty much sucks, I would rather have UPS or USPS.

Cool rainy day, feels like December. I have an order due in last Friday, 8 days later still waiting, but FedEx Ground assures me it will be here by this past Wednesday by 5. Gotta love it!

Good Evening!

7*F, cloudy. Our snow forecast has been upped to 8"-12" by Sunday afternoon.

Sunday will be a lovely day, high of 12*, windy, snowing and low of 0* overnight into Monday.

Had a VFD callout late this afternoon for traffic control at an accident. Ford pickup vs. utility pole and spruce tree. No serious injury. After standing around in the road for a couple hours at 6*, I could still feel most of my toes. Time to start packing some heavy wool socks. I hope people stay home or ON the road tomorrow.

Have a good one and drive safely.

12 degrees and snowing, but really like stuff. Not too sure how much we got last night I would say around a foot, but too dark to really see
and too early for me to go out and measure LOL. Tractor and plow are ready so once day time comes I can get out there and work on it...

5*F and snowing. Looks like about 5" so far. The forecast wind hasn't kicked up yet.

Being retired, I don't clear snow until it has stopped and the sun comes out.

Being it is Sunday, I don't even need to worry about clearing next to the mailbox.:laughing:

It's not garbage day! :laughing::laughing::laughing:

clearing snow on Sundays is seriously dangerous with a snowblower. The delivery people sometime just chuck them in the snow and guess who finds it?
It took me an hour to get a sunday paper out of my blower two years ago. Didn't break anything, the Ariens is tough, except my patience trying to pry all that wet paper
that was seriously jammed inside.

27 degrees going up to 40 today. I am not looking forward to going outside. About five inches of snow and frozen sleet, it will be like concrete to move. And then a walk to the back of my property where I will go see what is bent over. At least some will melt today. Then freeze hard again tonight. Hey, it's winter.

I'm really kind of amazed. Both the Christmas lights and power are still on. Normally this kind of heavy snow would have brought down limbs on the line and out goes the power.
Dave1949, my wife gave me boxes of hand and feet warmers last year and I'll never use them. Having spent my own share of very cold days and nights standing outside directing traffic for the vfd, after I could no longer be an active fireman(though I did get my ten years in), boy I can understand the importance of well insulated shoes.
Send me a pm, I'll ship the warmers to you if you want and you'll use them.

ok everyone, no backs thrown out today, no heart attacks, no slipping on the ice. Be safe. Find a kid to do it...
