I don't get laminated for 37.50. I have to pay more for that
Here again, it is your state and if the people agree so be it -I am all about states rights. However this would never (we hope) happen in Texas.

Is that California?
Since there are members from all over the world on this site so I thought we could compare gun laws. Here are the rules in Norway.
In Norway you must first take the hunting proficiency test, then you must seek permission from the police before you get to buy weapons it requires that you have clean criminal record. Only place you can buy amo including what you need to reload amo is in special hunting / fishing stores, where it is required that you show up license for the weapon you have and you can not buy cartridges to other calibers than the weapon you have. there is also a limit to how many weapons you can have. Shotguns must be designed so you can not have more than two cartridges in it.
To own handgun and revolvers you must in addition be a member of a shooting club and when the gun is not in use, there has to be locked in the clubs safe.
So how does it work where you live?

So far Utah has some of the most lenient gun control. We can have a loaded handgun in our cars even without CCW permit. We can carry in schools with CCW permit.
Yes... SF Bay Area, California. In Washington I happen to be in just about the only area where any discharge of a firearm is prohibited... didn't even occur to me at the time I bought.
There is a storage law that requires firearms being locked up to prevent access by minors. There have been several incidents were minors have used firearms to defend themselves and family members from home invasions. Thankfully, these home invasions have been in rural areas and the District Attorney did not press charges against the parents for allowing the kids to have access to firearms. Not sure what would have happened if they home invasions had happened in certain cities.
When storing guns at your home it must be in a safe that is bolted to the floor, in addition bolt or pin must be removed from the gun and stored somewhere else. The laws of Norway is really quite ridiculous when it comes to weapons. If you try to defend yourself against thieves and you threaten them or shoot a warning shot you may lose the right to have weapons and you risk ending up in jail. It's almost as bad if you shoot predators that attack livestock, it must be proved that it does damage before you can fire shots
You are talking about a county where you cannot discharge a gun at all?

You own 17 acres and can't shoot a gun on it. Never heard such a thing.

Yikes! Thanks for sharing this... I just learned that Kitsap County prohibits the discharge of a firearm within 500 yards of any shoreline. Somehow though... I don't think that is going to persuade me from spending a round or two on the 4th of July!!!Here is the first PDF that came up

...Must belong to club in order to shoot, and that has to be an authorzied range...
