Nice unit! I got the same one only with a 3' dove. I hate skinny trailers and working around fenders. Enjoy! are your running a weight distributing hitch at all?

Thanks! Currently Im just using a pintle/ball hitch and it works well. I haven't had a problem with balancing my loads yet. Im going to be hauling a mini excavator in April and that will probably help me decide whether I need one or not.

I weighed it with all of my straps, chains, binders, and sides and it was 4005 lbs.

You said you plan to haul 3 cords of wood. A cord of fresh cut wood will range from 5,000 to 5,600 lbs. If you have 2 - 7,000 lb axles and take in the weight of the trailer it's self, 2 cords of wood would be pushing the trailer's maximum capacity.

I think only osage orange or some species of oak weigh that much when green. Most are in the 4-4500lb range. Still too heavy to haul 3 cord though.

I only haul dry split wood from my woodlot to my home. Also Red oak, which I burn, is around 3500lbs a cord.

That sure is a great looking trailer! How were the slide in ramps for the mini ex. I want the slide In ramps, but was unsure how they would handle larger loads, such as my scissor lift. I will probably get the 16 or 18' as we have a 20' deck over down the road on the farm.

I had no problems with the ramps but, I used my bucket to help get on the trailer. I usually back up to a bank near my house if Im worried about loading something. Again If I could do it all over Id get one with monster ramps to have the best of both worlds ( flat deck when folded, and easier loading).

Sterff - Did you register your trailer with a lower load rating because your tow vehicle GVWR is over 12K?....Gary

No, I registered it at 9990, because in PA any trailer with a GVW rating higher than 10K requires a CDL.
