It's like the for my Law Enforcement Friends... one is retired in all but the retirement party.
He has the better part of a year of sick leave to burn through.
At one of the county hospitals... unused sick time is put towards employee part of retirement medical... so when sick leave is applied at $80 a month... it can be decades before having to actually pay out of pocket.
In my city 75% of the entire city budget goes to past and present police and fire.
Current Law Enforcement package averaged 190k per officer last year.
SF General Public Hospital Paid 6.5 million to the Sheriff for security deputies last fiscal year.
