What's up Tim! Still liking that Denali truck or have you done got a 14? I ALMOST bought an H3 Alpha when I got my Wrangler Unlimited. I like the size of the H3 and the Wrangler Unlimited for everyday driving.

Nope, perfectly happy with the '13..Honestly I was slightly concerned about the awd thing, but all fears went away on the first snow storm. Actually this feels faster than my '11, maybe due to the awd putting all the power to all 4 tires.

Best truck I've ever owned...Tows my trailers including the 9000# TT like nothing.

Wish I could have found an Alpha for the wife when we bought the H3 but the 5 banger does fine, it does give all it's got.

Glad you like the new truck. I know you got a great deal on it. The roads here had a lot of patchy snow and bare asphalt. I got to try out the "auto 4wd" selection on the Burb's T-case. It worked flawlessly and took all the shifting from 4 to 2wd out of the equation. I can see where AWD has it's advantages. My Wrangler has to give all it has also. LOL! The 3.8L V-6 in it might be considered gutless. It does get me to work in 12 plus inches of snow so I'm not complaining.

My old 02 F-150 definitely had the smallest feeling cab compared to my later Dodge and GM trucks... Chris, I modified your avatar so it's true. Feel free to copy it.

Nice avatar. LMAO!

You should try one if the new jeeps with the 3.6 I've heard it has 90hp more than the 3.8. My dad just got one of the 4 door ones and lives it. He's getting 17.5 everyday driving so far and that's mostly in town driving.

Didn't mean to hijack the thread.

Gotta call you out, Hoss. You are WRONG. The 2014 Chevy Crew has just as much if not MORE interior room than a 2014 Super Crew F-150. This thread is about smaller trucks but since you kicked the 1/2 ton door open, I will break it down.

2014 F-150 Super Crew interior specs.
1. Leg room front. 41.4in
2. Leg room rear. 43.5in
3. Head room front. 41.0in
4. Head room rear 40.3in
5. Hip room front 60.5in
6. Hip room rear 64.6in
7. Shoulder room front 65.9in
8. Shoulder room rear 65.5in

2014 Chevy Silverado interior specs.
1. Leg room front 45.3in
2. Leg room rear 40.9
3. Head room front 42.8in
4. Head room rear 40.5
5. Hip room front 60.7in
6. Hip room rear 60.3in
7. Shoulder room front 66.0in
8. Shoulder room rear 65.7 in

The ONLY category the F-150 out measures the Silverado is rear leg and hip. The rear hip measurements don't mean much due to the rear bench layout is so different between the two. The rear seats 3 so Chevy has more hip room for the middle passenger than the Ford. The hip numbers are based off two rear passengers. Check out that front leg room difference. 4 more inches for the Chevy. So your "no where near the interior room as the F-150" statement is clearly false..... Just sayin.

Assuming the numbers you posted are right I stand corrected. I know our 2011 Super Crew F150 has way more rear seat room then the 06 F350. Same with my 08 Titan, just do not compare to the F150. It also holds true to my bosses 2012 Dmax 3500. It's tight on the legs.

Has anyone heard about the nissan titan getting a Cummins. I would love to have the 4.5 duramax that was in production for a half ton. I think the ram eco diesel cost to much you might as well get a 3/4 ton .

Topkick, good picks and info on the smaller trucks. The dealers know I want to drive one.

The Titan will get a V8 5.0l Cummins diesel. Sure 500lb-ft of torque will be fun but in a 1/2 ton with a soft typical Nissan off-road suspension, it will be useless for heavy towing and return the same or less fuel mileage as the big V8's with more expensive fuel and maintenance plus a $3000 premium.

RAM is doing it right with a small diesel that will match the top performers in power (420 lb-ft) yet return more than enough fuel mileage savings to offset the higer priced fuel and maintenance. Many reports are averaging 25-28 mpg in mixed driving. That's around 10 mpg more than any other full size truck out there!

The Jeeps with the same engine are getting better than their EPA ratings as well.

I REALLY like the looks of this new mid-sized the GMC. With the small diesel next year, it will be a perfect sized truck for many with light towing needs and return 35+ mpg.

Tow rating on the new mid size truck is set to be around 6700lbs. Pretty good #'s. Not sure if this will increase w the diesel option set for next year's production.

I drove a 13 w the new Pentastar 3.6. Much better. The interior and IP are more like a Grand Cherokee than a Wrangler. Real plush. The body and all exterior are still the same. The one I have is paid for and heavily moded. Think I'm just going to keep it until I can get my hands on one of these new trucks. Remember the ZR-2 package on the S-10's? 1/2 ton axels w factory lift, 33in tires and fender flares. There is talks of that package showing up again on these new trucks.
