I will update as I get price quotes from the dealers and let me know what ya think. I have Kubota, NH, MF, and 2 JD dealers near by. These prices are out the door. Can you haggle these prices same as a car dealer? Has anyone gotten different quotes from like mfg dealers?
Today was Kubota:
BX2370 with LA243 FEL w/ 48" bucket; 60" MMM, turf tires; fluid fill rear tires.
Financed Price 0% x 60 mo. $15.943
Cash price $15,042
BX25D with FEL and backhoe standard; 12" hoe bucket; 3 point hitch kit; 60" MMM; grill guard standard; R4 tires.
Financed Price 0% x 60 mo. $21,066
Cash price $20,375
I was disappointed at how much more a backhoe unit cost- $5k more dollars, hard to justify.
Today was John Deere:
1023E with H120 FEL w/ 48" bucket; 60" MMM, R4 tires; fluid fill rear tires.
Financed Price 0% x 60 mo. $16,012
Cash price $16,012 (no discount for cash sale)(note this was a new 2012 unit discounted $300)
1025R with H120 FEL w/48" bucket and backhoe standard; 12" hoe bucket; 3 point hitch kit (included); 60" MMM; R4 tires.
Financed Price 0% x 60 mo. $22,791
Cash price $22,791 (no discount for cash sale)
Noteables: JD requires 10% down and Kubota requires 0% down. JD had no standard discount for cash sale and Kubota was $700 discount. JD drive over quick attach deck that Kubota does not offer. Three point hitch kit included with JD and Kubota is not and must be ordered extra for the BH units. Both have very similar markerting tactics such as 0% for 60 months, $500 discount for 2 implement purchase, and insurance available. The 1023E and the BX2370 are not price practical to add backhoe to. The factory installed backhoe is cheaper than dealer install and is offered on the BX25D and 1025R. The above 1025E is an economy version of the 1025R without things like lights, cruise, deluxe seat, etc., and less HP. Did not hear these differences in the Kubota comparison above. The JD backhoe weldments looked chincy to me and I need to get a good look at the Kubotas for comparison as I used to be a welder fabricator and notice these things.
Not a big deal but I am also finding out that with the BH installed units the MMM cannot be lowered on the Kubota and similar on the JD but JD offers a switch and solenoid kit for this if desired.
I will continue with a 2nd JD, NH, and MF quotes in the next 2 weeks.
