Good Evening. 1720, clear, 46F with 46% humidity. Forecast low of 28F tonight and a high of 45F tomorrow.

I'm back at work, and boy is it nice to have a laptop with a real keyboard. I know why the phone posting guys have all the typos now. And my tablet has a big screen for a tablet.

One of our local banks are hosting training here at the Civic Center tonight for all the branches in the area. The cook has been smoking pork loins all afternoon. I'm sure there will be a picture later on http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/rural-living/288289-whats-supper-64.html.

Thanks for the kind thoughts. Margie and I will be going back to Panama City tomorrow afternoon. {I had already scheduled to upgrade my Dish system to the Hopper before Mamma's dizzy headed problem. The tech is coming between 0800 and 1200. Or so they say}

Everyone stay warm tonight.

Well it got down to zero last night, but not below. Can't hardly believe we missed the last snow storm and are having a heat wave compared to Tomas and Roy's temps! Roy I would bet you will maybe have to bleed that oil line to the furnace once they deliver that liquid gold!

Yes, we did!

Larro, I'm hoping your mom has continued good luck. Nothing is quite so scary as not knowing why and not knowing when it could happen again. She probably doesn't need the rehab center, but it will ensure somebody is there if she gets light-headed and faints again.

Jim, it surprised me that when the Dr ask her about a rehab, she said it would be a good idea. This is a woman who doesn't ever want to be away from home. And I live across the road from her, {about 200 yards} and Sister lives about 200 yards on the other side of her. I feel like we can check on her enough if she can stand up without getting light headed. But over the next couple of days we will learn more.

Well, I go for years without having any kind of excitement at work, but tonight we had a little. There was a youth baseball meeting that had just got added in the last day or two. The fellow who reserved the room was one of our county commissioners. He stopped in the office and talked for a few minutes before the meeting started. He said there had been an ongoing problem with some of the parents, and we were in danger of losing the program if they didn't calm down. The meeting was to see if they could talk some sense to the folks. My other event got through early, and I was down there cleaning up when the baseball meeting broke up. I noticed a heated discussion going on in the lobby, but they went on outside, so I got back to work. There were still ten or fifteen men hanging around the lobby talking. A few minutes later they all ran outside, so I knew something was up. Then when I looked out and saw the three police cars, it confirmed my thoughts.

Later when I got all the facts, {I have extra paperwork because of this} I heard one fellow was wanting to fuss with the county commissioner, but the CC kept walking away from him, trying to prevent trouble. It got so two or three men were holding the fellow back, but he slipped away from them and bumped into the CC. Big mistake. They said the CC gave the fellow a pretty good licking before they could pull him off. And it isn't just simple assault when you attack an elected official. There is extra charges for that. The police arrested him, and about half the men went to the police station to make statements. I'm not sure how this will effect the youth baseball league. But maybe I will go a few more years before I have this kind of excitement again.

good morning all.
Jeez, between Ron and Dave/Sodamo, I'm sure getting a little tired
of this cold weather. David, what a cool setup. Errr...warm....

best I can offer is a my first kinda selfie. Now this is for the gentleman who said it didn't happen
without pics...:D

I have to go to Lowe's or Home Depot today and pick out some new shower and lav fixtures one of our past cleaning ladies brilliantly used the wrong side of a scrubby and managed to scratch up not only our SS refrigerator dishwasher and stove front, but also both the kitchen and bathroom fixtures. I've lived with it for several years but now need to get a different shower fixture that is easier for me to turn on. The main wall fixture of course is easy to use, but the gizmo near the shower head turns on the hand shower head must have gotten so filled with minerals that it became almost impossible to move. I haven't liked the design from the beginning, but then I didn't pick it out. I think I need the oxo good grips version.

Otherwise, off to the dermatologist this afternoon where I was delighted to find out that something on my upper lip was benign. I'm pretty tired at this point people cutting into me. I figure after 10 more years of going to the dermatologist, I should be about 1 foot tall.

Now if I can get people to put wood in the stove before they go to bed it will be above zero in the house too.
We might make double figures today and the back down tonight
Snow on Saturday for sure.

9F heading to 23. Snow still covers the ground and roads - unusual here this long after such a small snow.

Made some time to go on a 3 mile hike and found tracks in the snow of deer, turkey, fox, coyote, rabbit, squirrel, crow, and a mouse or vole.
Crazy how active the predators are - tracks seemed to be everywhere. One fox was definitely on the rabbit trail, but glad that he never appeared to have caught it.

Did you see any beavers in the beaverdam? Maybe they are snuggled in for the winter.
