wonder if the 0 or 00 type pourable grease would be the best of both worlds. I know my tiller wont keep 140 weight in it, but with the 00 does it not leak a drop.

That's why I like this place. Always learn something. Never heard of 00 type pourable grease.

Its somewhere between ketchup and mayo on the consistency scale.

The oil bath hubs on my pj trailers take motor oil in them . They leak all the time . I run Lucas Hub oil . I over fill I feel better known'n there extra oil .

The only place I've used it so far is in the rear transaxles on a garden tractor but I'm thinking of using it when I repack my triaxle 12 ton equipment trailer. It's designed to work much better than other types of grease under high pressure in bearings and places where metal on metal wear occurs. I think they call it poundout. The bentonite (clay) keeps the grease from running out and it's very water resistant. It tends to be expensive and it doesn't mix well with other oils or greases (so you need to clean everything well). I have a tube of "persist bentonite grease that states it's ideal for heavy load trailer bearings.
