What do you call getting unstuck using the FEL?

So far you are the winner. That is until some of those guys hanging out around the "Pallets in the Field" see this and break out their dictionary.

Is this the voice of experience we hear??? :drink:

Unfortunately, yes.:ashamed:

Hey I resemble that remark!

I like the 'dig and roll' or maybe 'dig and curl'. Having at least the FEL or BH on at all times has saved me more than a few times when my traction fails me and forcing the issue just makes it worse.

No word for it because you weren't stuck. Using the fel to walk is just an added benefit.

I've done that so many times I couldn't count. That's actually one of the draw backs of using my front mount snowblower.

This is similarly to not knowing where you are but aren't lost that is till you run out of gas and still don't know where you are, then you are lost.

The above is the husbands definition of lost. Wives have a different definition, especially if their husband is driving.

Got my tractor high centered on hardpack snow today, and used the FEL to move it backwards several feet to free it, a technique I have never used before. Darned if I know a term to describe doing this...anybody care to enlighten me? Thanks.

I call it "getting unstuck with the loader".
Done this several times...

Maybe we could call this "Felshoving" ?

I once watched a case 580 Backhoe literally wade into a marsh, floorboards awash, using his bucket and hoe to walk in.
He was installing a hydro pole so he would drag the pole, crawl walk the hoe and repeat `til he got to where he wanted to be.
He also dragged a 2 yard sled of crushed stone to bed the pole.
Once pole was installed he crawled walked back bringing the empty sled as well as the damaged pole.

The whole thing was simply awesome to watch. He walked that hoe about 150 yards over partially buried 3 and 4 ft boulders. Quite a show.

Have you seen the various videos of backhoes and other equipment loading/unloading themselves from train cars and such.... pretty slick as well.

Crab, as in "I had to crab it out with the Bucket", which is a carryover of doing the same thing with and excavator or loder/Backhoe.

Been doing a lot of it lately.
