but until i read it i can't know whether i agree and by then i can't go back and un-read it... sorry if i offended your delicate sensibilities by having an opinion that differs with yours. i actually understand quite a bit, including that this thread was written by someone favoring snow, so i think that i'm justified in having my opinion in this thread as much as the next person, or am i not allowed to deal with the extremes of winter in my way? incidentally, my way is to deal with them just like every other day: get up and do whatever needs to be done.

hay..had clear skys today. sunny and,...... 12 F degrees with 20 MPH winds right now. Supposed to see -2F with 30-35 MPH winds tonight. Im not leaving the fireplace

Ditto here....estimate is 12-14 inches, but no ice. Temp is -2F with 20 mph N wind. My question is whether to risk pneumonia or get out there and go for it....Here's where a blower and heated cab would be great.....but....I have a walk behind blower and open Kubota FEL/RB.:thumbdown: Will get back to y'all if I'm able.

well they were right.. it -2.0 on the temp and 17-20 mph winds. thats a -23 wind chill.

Just put in six hours doing the neighbors and mine. The high is 5 deg F...my feet got cold but am still alive. I've had enough snow for awhile. We do need that moisture however.....that 12-14 inches will equal about 1 inch of rain.

I'll be out tomorrow morning cleaning up the 8" snow ice mix that is on the ground, probably going to wish I had chains. The 2wd ford won't be leaving the barn, so it will be up to the Kubota.
