Landpride grapple for SCUT?

Well, I could not stay out of the cold and managed to wire up the valve this afternoon. I put a quart of hydraulic fluid in as I worked the grapple to fill the hose. CHDiinCT aka Chris - the buttons work great and the action on the grapple is not too fast. Of course nothing is too fast on a BX as there is not a lot of flow available. You can clearly feather the closing onto something. I took a short video which I'll send you if you want. Notwithstanding the cold I took the tractor out of the shop and picked up the first rock I could find. A guy has to play with a new toy.

Here's what I found on the female QC: 251-6FO

Did a google search on that and came up with:
Parker - SM-251-6FO

Per the link, it's 1/4" "body size" with 3 gal per minute flow.

Follow up on my last post. Here is the Parker catalog for the hydraulic QCs. I am sure the BX is series 60. I am laid up with a blood clot or I would go out in or 20F temp and look. Note that the catalog numbers are based on the pipe size not the internal orifice size.

Ron, sorry to hear you're laid up. I came down with a wicked cold today myself. Anyway, the LP grapple I think uses a different series than what's standard on the BX. I left it out of what I posted above, but the full model number on the Female QC states SM-251-6FO (o as in o-ring seal, not 0). So I think LP provides SM series couplers. I think, LOL.

If I wasn't on light duty I would not be on the computer during daylight. It's h**l to get old. I was going on what the existing fittings were when I made up my pressure gauge set. I could be wrong or some different cat#s are interchangeable. Maybe they used the 1/4" ones to slow down the grapple w/o using a flow restrictor, who knows. When it warms up I will find the gauge set and check it out, you have me thinking anyway.

I do not know how to post a video. HELP! I just have a short 21 sec of the jaws opening and closing so far. It's still cold in my area but tomorrow it's supposed to be about 65F. I'll try to get my spouse to show me "working". I'll put it on YouTube but need help there also.
