Which compact tractor will move 5th wheel campers?

A couple of notes for information:

1- The 2720 and the 3320 have the same engine
2- The 3320 has the reputation of having a high center of gravity for things like hillsides. You would want to set the tires to the wide position for best stability and probably fill the tires. Consider a rear mower/rotary mower instead of a MMM and back down the slopes that need to be mowed.
3- The hydraulics on the 2720 are faster than the 2305, but the lifting capacity isn't tremendously higher.
4- If you have a variety of attachments for the 2305, stepping up to the 3000 series will mean replacing some of those attachments whereas the 2720 will be largely a lateral move in that regard.

Personally, I wouldn't even think of moving these trailers with any of these tractors, mainly to the lack of braking ability. The ratio of the weight of the tractor to the weight of the trailer is far too low. This seems more like a job for an all terrain forklift.

Braking isn't even a consideration for me. I've moved plenty of small 5th wheels and travel trailers with my 2305. I've never yet even touched the brake. I move these at "turtle" speed. My lot, building, and entire area is level and flat. I'm not saying a tractor is ideal for this. I was thinking I could do this instead of purchasing another truck, or portable means of moving the campers. A truck isn't good for my tight areas. I currently hire a guy to move these for me. He works for an RV transport company and does this full time. It takes him approximately 20 minutes to get a camper into my building where I need it. This is after I wait a day or 2 for him to find time and show up. I can do the same with the 2305 in about 5 minutes at turtle speed, and........ Do it when ready instead of waiting on someone else. I'm still considering building a portable unit that will support the weight and can be simply pushed or pulled by a compact tractor. I saw a self powered electrical unit on YouTube. I don't think an electric self powered unit will work on gravel, but it may work if I build something similar that a tractor can pull and/or push.

I would go for the 3320 to do the work you described. If you have steep slopes to deal with you can add wheel spacers to the rear wheels, liquid ballast in tires, and/or wheel weights. Like you, I have lots of very steep slopes to work on and have added rear wheel spacers and Rimguard ballast to the rear tires on my 3720 tractor. This took care of all stability concerns. Additionally, I currently have three tractors and a zero turn mower and the 3720 would be the last machine I'd part with.

Will a 3320 with a belly mower be as nimble as my 2305? I have just one slope on my property to mow. It is a roadside ditch. I have to maneuver between the road and ditch on one side, and the ditch and a split rail fence on the other side. I'm also considering tiling and filling this ditch. That would leave me with no slopes at all. Will a 3320 with the additional weight tear up my yard? Will my 48" tiller still work behind a 3320?

I have a JD 72" 7-Iron belly mower and with the short wheel base the tractor is very nimble but I can't compare it to 2305.

I have no trouble tearing up the turf on 5 acres of lawn here at my house and another 2 acres down at the old homestead. Tractor has R4 tire tread.

Your tiller will work if it is a standard cat 1 hitch but it will be narrower than your tractor wheels. I have a similar situation but just swing the hitch over to the right (instead of center) and run tiller to align with outside of right wheel. Works for me.

As mentioned above, you could ask the Deere dealer about trying the 3320 before buying. I know some dealers will gladly do this.
