Neighbor lets dogs out to do their business in my yard?

I had a neighbor that NEVER EVER cleaned up the dog dropping in his back yard. hundreds of piles of dog business - If I find the picture I'll post it. But the smell was horrendous, and the flies were uncontrollable.
I called the city every day till they came out with a team and fined then and forced a clean up.

I remember when I was a kid my dad scooped the stuff up and placed in right on the neighbors windshield. He got the message

You could try a few motion activated ultrasonic animal repellers near the property line.

Much more deer and other animal droppings at my place, so a little dog stuff added to the mix is not a big deal. Don't make a mountain out of mole hill.

I used to clean my back yard once a week from my german shepherd. When we went on vacation it was 3 weeks worth I had to shovel into a bucket. I mowed that day and didn't remember to dump the bucket into a bag for the trash man. It rained into it for a week and when I went out to mow again it was the most horrid smell I had ever experienced. I poured off some of the **** water so i could move it and it splashed on me as I hauled it to the truck.

I looked at this! Pretty slick. But decided on the chili powder. Chili powder was cheap easy and totally passive while immediately 100% effective. Dogs know it is there and just stay away there is no contact involved. So no pain noise violence lawyers police or moving xxxx around at night. Lasted 18 months then I had to reapply about 4 months ago.

I think the sprinkler would be great in garden or backyard where you wouldnt take a chance on watering down kids or the postman or the elderly gent next door.

So, OP, what's it going to be? What's the plan to deal with this or are you still debating options? Leaning any particular direction?

When my son's dog goes through his neighbor's yard, the neighbor chains it and calls animal control. My son has to pay a $100.00 fine.

Has anyone mentioned shock wire.

I have one called a weed burner. It will light you up.

Some use a 12v battery.

It does get their attention.

How about putting a shock collar on the owner instead of punishing the poor dog?
