This is great for Indiana, home of Cummins. It's great for the imports also. They will now be taken seriously. Not that they shouldn't have to date. In my eyes the F150, Tundra, Titan, Ram, and GM trucks are how they stack up currently.
This is very bad news for the domestics and their diesel plans. Especially Ram.
Chris
Time to start saving my money. As long as the capabilities are there (payload and towing), I'll get one. I had a 2011 Tundra Crewmax with the 5.7 and loved it, but a diesel will be even better. I am curious about the v8 Cummins part. To me, a Cummins is an I6 with that distinctive sound (like my 03 Ram with the 5.9).
nirion,
those of us in industry also know Cummins by many V block engines they made, starting with some oldies. The V903 comes to mind, believe it is in the Bradley Fighting Vehicle. Then all the V engines in mine haul trucks, power generators, etc. Cummins has made V engines for many decades - the general public doesn't know that.
Please please please come with a manual trans!
