I got it, DK50SE HST. My wife is the greatest. Nice Valentines Day gift. I have used it and it works great, the heat is awesome. The only problem I have was the when I changed the over to the forks to move a hay bale. The forks would not come off. I got it off with a breaker bar and it bent the release a little. Looks like I may notch the bottom of the forks to allow the pins to drop easier. Great tractor! I have no regrets.

Congrats on the new tractor! My DK50 SE HST was delivered this morning. I put 5 hours on it today. I'll say this about the fuel tank - although I like the clean look of the flush filler cap, having it on top of the tractor AND having the gas filler neck recessed below the hood is not a very good design. I set the fuel can on the loader frame, and climbed up on the front tire to fill the tank. And another thing - these new CARB fuel cans suck. It took forever to bubble out. But with the tank neck below the hood, you need a shut off valve to keep from spilling fuel with a regular fuel can, or use a funnel I guess.

Here is what I do. I have a terry cloth towel I stretch out on the hood in front of the filler neck, then set the jug on the loader arm, and change your grip to set it down on its front side on the towel with the nozzle over the filler neck hole. My model has the lever to hold down, but since all of the weight of the can is now resting comfortably on the towel, all you have to do is hold down the lever and let it guzzle out. It is much easier on you than holding/balancing a full 5 gal jug.

There is a little hook on the bottom of the filler nozzle on the fuel cans I have that is designed to rest on the filler neck when the can is tilted up and the weight of the can holds the valve open. The Kioti filler neck has a chamfer on it so unless I had the can angle exactly right the little hook slipped off. I also had a small bit of hay blow right into the tank, despite brushing everything off before pulling the filler cap. I guess that's what the fuel filter is for, right? I think I would have liked the tank below the cab, like on the RX6010 I looked at, a lot better if for no reason than I can keep my feet on the ground while filling the tank.

yeah, I have been wondering what I am going to do when the lever nozzles wear out, on my blitz cans because you can't get them any more..as for the debris, I always use the towel to blow all the dust and debris off of the area.

I think the hay came off the grill in front. It was a little gust of that good ol' Wisconsin winter wind. Swirled around and right down the pipe.

I thought the tank would have been better on the bottom like on the RX6010, but after more thought I like it where it is because the enclosed area will help to keep the fuel from jelling as easy in extreme cold and it is protected from debris.

I have the stems but I haven't done the mod yet..

That explains why the old style "replacement" nozzles cost $10! I actually like the ones with the lever on top, it's perfect for filling chainsaws. I don't think you can get those anymore, at least I haven't seen any around.

Now I'm off to scrape out a paddock and move a small mountain of "90-10" out to the muck heap (90% snow, 10% horse poo). Should take hours, as I ride around in the heated cab of my new DK50SE HST while listening to the radio! :dance1:
