Congrats, that's a nice looking tractor! I know I'll never buy another one that doesn't have a cab. Remember you can call it new as long as the plastic is still on the seat!

guess mine isn't new anymore - not only did I take the plastic off the seat, I've spilled a bunch of coffee in it too. This tractor needs a cup holder that has its own suspension, just like the seat.

AHahahaha now I'm complaining about a cup holder. On a tractor.

Yeah well that next something has to be a quick attach plow, or more likely a snowblower for the back. The bucket just doesn't get it done when it comes to getting snow and drifts off a 1/4 mile long driveway, at least not quickly. One more good snow like we had here today and I won't have a driveway anymore - I'll have a tunnel.

We suffer with bad snow drifting here as well. The best thing I ever did was to buy the snow blower for my 3 point. I still use the loader to clean the entrance but the long stretch of the driveway is best done with the blower and there is no worry about where to go with the next snow as it throws it out farther than I ever had the time to push it with the loader.. This year I will be looking at purchasing a slightly bigger blower for our new DK40 and should be able to buy one big enough to make it a one pass job.

I got a used Snowmachines 7' snowblower. It works pretty well, but I'm hoping now that I'm fully prepared it won't snow again until next winter!

On my quest to buy a new tractor I've Looked at john Deere's 4720 (and been quoted by two different JD dealers on the forthcoming 4066R), I've tested out and made a video of Kubota's L6060 (and been quoted by two different dealers), I've looked at Massey Ferguson's MF1759, made a video an and been quoted by two different dealers on the MF1758), and I've also visited Mahindra, and looked at their 6010, as well as Kioti, and looked at their new NX6010. In my neck of the woods, I've only one dealer for each of those brands, but thankfully, the Kioti dealer also sells lifts and had picked up Bobcat for fun. When Bobcat stopped selling tractors, the dealer picked up Kioti. Although only a Kioti dealer for a little over one year, he sold $1.8M in new Kioti tractors his first year, and his lift business dwarfs his tractor business and it seems like the dealer is content to grow with Kioti.

A nice touch was the service manager and the owner helped me look over the tractor and fielded my questions. The owner got the service manager when, as a former ASE auto tech, I started asking more questions than he could field on his expertise alone. To be fair I did not ask other dealers about the sourcing and build quality of their drivetrains as I did with Kioti, but to the credit of the Service Manager, he seemed as though he was "into it" and answered all my questions and several of them were pretty detailed requiring expert knowledge. To the credit of this dealer, they are the only dealer willing to bolt on a true third function off of the power beyond. All other marques use a factory diverter valve that diverts power from the loader tilt, disabling tilt in the process, to the third function. In contrast, a true third function all three functions remain functional at once.

Anyway, after my inspection of everything, I took off on my own to make the following video of Kioti's NX6010 HST Cab compact utility tractor.

My question is how is Kioti's trade in and resale value? Or better said, how much of a bath would I take trading in a Kioti in a couple three years over what i paid for it?

Congratulations! Since your jumping strait into very cold weather, I'll let you in on a observation I've made on my DK45.
If you start it in very cold weather and turn the temp up to hot, turn the fan to high and walk away for 20 minutes the gauge will barely come off cold.

If you leave the heater temp on cold, the temp gauge will come up between the dots (normal operating temp) in ten to 15 minutes minutes or so, you can get some heat in the motor that way.
When I start using the tractor (I just have a sweatshirt on) I bring the temp up gradually on the heater control so as not to blast the ice cold glass with very hot air and fog it out bad. I also run the A/C at the same time to pull the moisture off.
After you start running the heat, it takes about 15 minutes or so for the glass to normalize and stay fog free.
You'll figure it all out, your gonna love it, I wind up having to turn the temp and fan way down, ..It gets to hot!
Check your loader frame bolts often.
Good luck! We need pics when you get it, TBN rules:drink:

Thanks, you just informed me that Kioti's need higher temperature thermostats as I noticed the NX6010 i tried out to day never really showed that it was warmed up.

Pretty common to need to move to warmer T-stat up here in the north in order to warm up properly.

Sounds like the 50 will be perfect for you. I am really really impressed with how mine runs a snowblower. I use it for blowing back banks from plow trucks and it has done very good. I have a 7' wide twin auger blower with a 27" fan, I can go through a foot of fresh snow in medium at max speed with no issue.

What brand and model of blower do you have? I've yet to research blowers and would enjoy listening to other's 3PT blower experiences!

Thanks. :)

To speak to your concern about trade in value, In 2004, I bought a CK25HST new from the dealer for $14,700. In 2013 I traded for my DK40 HST Cab, he allowed me $12,500 with 1,188 hours.

Trade in value depends on all sorts of things and there is no one answer to that question. I'd focus on getting the best suited tractor to your needs for actual use and the rest will take care of itself. Kiotis are very well built and offer many extras that one pays extra for on other brands, assuming one can even add them on.
I've been happy with both my DK-35se/hst and now my DK-40se/hst. Traded up within the first year because I was a new buyer and did not know what I really needed in a tractor first go round. The 40 has been everything I need and has been bulletproof.
