GP, I'm in Ann Arbor. Yes, it is hydraulic powered- hoses , filter, overpressure relief, disconnects, set up for 20 GPM.... PITA. I first set it up for my L39 tlb that didn't have a mid PTO. I just finished a conversion of a 48" simplicity mechanical snowblower 2 stage to a hydraulic drive. Worked ok, until above. Just have to connect the electric chute and tip control.

Hmm a conversion to mid pto and using on board hydraulics for lift would probably be a lot of work.

Gp I think you miss understood. I added a hydraulic motor and a skid steer quick mount steel plate to make the snow blower work with a hydraulic pump on my B3350 which has a quick mount FEL. All this was motivated by a complete rebuild of the snowblower due to bearing failure. I maintained the original integrity if I want to put it back (if it didn't work). Front mount blowers saves your neck but the over all length makes tight turns and close quarters more difficult. The snow is now so hard and icy I'm afraid I'll just blow the shear bolts if I try another test. I'll get run out of town if I wish for more snow!! With the test above that made the pump wiggle, the blower was throwing slush 15- 20 feet. With the 20 gpm pump and a 3.3 cu in motor, I can get 1500 rpm on the impeller. Originally, it was about 1000 rpm on the Simplicity. Kind of a fun project, but maybe a new K snowblower would be a better long term solution.

Ok, I was trying to figure out if maybe with your new tractor you mightbe able to get away without the external hydraulics.

no. he needs ext hydraulics to power the blower. On my system, the hud pump is mounted on a bracket that attaches to the tractors drawbar. I too had to use a 6 spline extension, but i have no wobble on mine. final rear powerpack 1.jpgpowerpack 1.jpg

Grsthegreat, I see you have a cab. How did you run your hoses to the front? Do they go up the FEL side arms? On my L 39, no cab, I magnetically attached to arms and I could raise the blower as high as I wanted. Running under my cab, I can't raise the feel very much. I used tie wraps to hold the uses. How are yours mounted?

i built some removable brackets to support the hoses....they go under the cab, then up the loader support arm then over the loader arm. here are some pics
