Anyone else notice a rash on new posters with one line comments?

I see that most of the gang from "Pallets in Fields" is over here. This thread could become epic.

Tom there is something to this. Half a dozen to a dozen new members all joined within a 2 day time span. Then they all posted 5-8 times- only one line comments the day they joined or the day after. Then, none have posted since that time. Add to that many of the "handles" are similar, all the profiles are identical except for the brand of tractor(very brief).

I don't believe in this many coincidences, so it's either a spammer running a test, or a kid playing around....my money is o the spammer.

I have noticed the one liner in this post and hundreds in the "The number of post don't change" thread. Close to 4 thousand post with one liners. The Administrator should delete that thread and this one also as useless and just building up poster's count.

I just don't understand your reasoning. You seem to be more concerned with other peoples post count than they are. Post count means nothing, they could take them away completely and it would be fine with me.

I sent a PM to the Big Guy asking him to reset my count to 5000 cause of posters complaining about it. He said he appreciates the posting regardless if its one word or 10,000 words.

Perhaps because advertisers pay more based on post counts which they interpret as people on the site potentially looking at their ads?

I actually like having no post count showing.. And I absolutely hate 'kudo's' 'thanks', 'likes', etc..

Definitely.

But when it comes to member to member conversations, some people get all uptight about a member's post count. I don't get that at all. I can't figure out why a member with a high post count is less credable than a member with a moderate post count???
