No don't live on a farm so I guess the average home owner has to add the sales tax back on to this.

Unless you take a ride to state that doesn't have sales tax.

Barlows delivers and if you don't live in Ky they don't charge sales tax. Contact them for a price and then see if you can beat it locally. They sell Kubotas. Resale and available franchise dealers is important when you purchase your first machine.
I shopped my first machine between JD, NH and Kubota and have bought 16 more Kubotas since that first one 11 years ago. I'm happy with the Kubotas I've owned/own and no longer shop for cheaper or off brands or even the other more familiar brands.
After buying several machines with personal experience then you can decide whether to go to cheaper machines as some people do who troll the other brand sites and make "other" brand recommendations. Maybe they don't have forums for their brands, I don't know. I know one hates a Kubota dealer and he always recommends a different brand.
Some people have to respond to every post even if they don't know what they are talking about from personal experience.:)

Very true - I'm finding out that tractor brand loyalty is worse than Chevy / Ford / Dodge truck loyalty! I'm trying to keep that in mind when I read posts and pick the machine that'll work best for me and my wallet.

JT, I owned a Kubota L3800 for 4 day's and returned due to the 3 point position control. I can't do road work with my land plane that the hitch keeps falling down. If I was to get a smaller machine I would check out the BX-25 D for sure and I would price it thru Barlows too. Do you have to own a Bota to post in this Forum?
