With a name like daedong so would I....Sounds like it is from the movie Sixteen Candles.

Yeah, reading thru this thread, that was going to be my question. Who builds their own?? I'm pretty sure Kubota does, but can't think of any others???
I'm sure you're right about Kubota. Mahindra might make all of their own as well, but I'm not positive. Most seem to build some of their own, but not all. It seems size also factors into it....some of the big names build their larger machines, and outsource the smaller models.
In a bit of a twist, it looks like LS may be doing the reverse, by sourcing larger utility machines from CNH for sale outside of the U.S. I keep meaning to stop by the dealer to see what the data plate says on the U and P series sold here...they have Fiat Powertrain engines, but I'm not sure on the rest of the machine.
Regardless, it's a tangled web to figure out who the OEM is on a lot of machines.
Honda used to make CUT's ... Not for awhile tho, and they are very tough to find

I've been traveling to Japan and Korea for the past 25 years. Daedong and Daewoo always caught my attention when I saw them on trucks. bus' and cars.![]()
