Harbor Freight copies StrongHand Nomad welding table...$59

I bought that cabinet a week or two ago. I saw the model in the store which was actually pretty nicely made with smooth sliding drawers. Mine is still in the box (don't like the idea of sitting in the unheated garage at 15 degrees to assemble it! Not sure what assembly is needed as it is a box about the same size as the cabinet but it was too cold to figure that out). I believe I was able to use either a 20% or 25% coupon on it as it is not actually a "welder". Same category as the welding table as far as HF coupon discounts is concerned. I forget however if the original price was on sale or not.

If they don't have the cart at the store, you can order it online. I ordered the cabinet, and the table, and the shipping for both was only $6.99. It would have cost me more to drive to the store. The cart came in about 8 days, and the table 10.

The cabinet takes about 15 minutes to assemble. Casters, handle, lead brackets, and tank mounts. All the same size self starting screws except the two machine screws that hold the back wheels on. Mine even came with the restraint chains even though the manual said it didn't.

Looked at this cart at store. Pretty nice build for the money I think. Drawers slide nice. Top drawer partitioned for small part storage. Bottom door flips up for large tool storage. None in stock so bought online for the sale price plus coupon discount. On its way!

mine had the chains too.

I still can't figure why it only has 1/2 of a top drawer . (shorter front to back than the other 2)

I have the portable StrongHand Nomad welding table. I like it. Smallish 20x30 inches and constructed out of ?12gauge but very functional and extremely handy. Folds up like a TV dinner table. Cost is about $150 as I recall. Welding Tables - NOMAD

This week Harbor Freight started carrying a virtual knockoff. Adjustable Steel Welding Table The only difference I could see on the assembled floor model was the absence of the two wheels (which frankly are useless) and that the HF model doesn't have adjustable height. It does tilt. The top looked nearly identical including the retractable guide rails and three slots to accept clamps.

For $59.99 it is hard to beat for a welding table you can throw in the back of your truck or trunk. Not useful for production work but a lot nicer than trying to weld on the ground. What's more, you could easily clamp or bolt two or three of these things together and have a 40x30 or 20x60 etc table.

Get'm while their hot. On "sale" now at $59 with regular price listed as $149. I doubt they will ever be listed for 149 as that is what the StrongHand original sells for but the HF price probably will drift up.

And, they are not welders so the 20% discount coupons will work. $48 is a steal.

Finally landed one today with a 25% coupon so $46.53 out the door including tax. I've been
trying to get one since the beginning of the month but every time they are sold out.

I just picked up the Welding Table. Seems like its pretty solid to me. The stupid plastic 'handles' will probably get replaced with HF 13mm wrenches welded on the bolts when the break (or even a piece of flat stock).

I did just find this that may prove to be useful with the table (although some minor modification may be needed for it to work right)

As for the cabinet.... I sure wish they had that back in December/January when I was buying carts for my welder and plasma cutter :-( I would have got at least one....

I use that locking clamp on my drill press and it is extremely useful.

I use it on mine too. Needs a few big washers to work with the welding table.
