Rolling harrow pics. Still haven't figured out a way to keep the wing harrows up without the use of tie-downs. Not a big deal I guess. Also with the wings up it adds more weight to the center chunk to dig deeper.

Looks very Gooder-un! To keep the wings up, put a latch or chain with a hook, where I added the black arrow in your picture.

Thats what I would do. Weld one link to the bottom, weld a section of chain (long enough to almost reach the bottom) to the top and use a carabiner/snaplink (80mm x 8mm Zinc-Galvanized Steel Carabiner Snap Link Hook - 3-1/4" x 5/16" - Amazon.com) to connect the two.

That isn't the part I am having hard time with. It is the rolling harrow that needs to stay up and out of the way of the center roller. In one of the last pics you can see the orange ratchet straps being used to hold the roller up.

Couldn't you weld a bar with a hole in it to the frame and put a hole in the arm of the harrow, and then just pin it out of the way. See my crude drawing in red on your picture .

I see three options there:

1. A flat bar welded across the arms of the roller frame
2. A short check chain from the main frame to roller frame positioned so that the roller is limited as to how far "up" it can go
3. Weld a flatbar or angle across the roller frame and run a chain from there to the rear crossbar on the main frame

Thanks guys.... I am liking the idea of being pinned in place. That way it reduces the bouncing up and down when going over rough ground.

You use it after you disk to break up the clumps, smooth out the ridges left by the disk and leave a mostly flat and even field (or garden or foodplot) to plant in.
