Oh, yes. And replaced it, along with the rubber driveshaft boot. A character-building experience. All that is now armored with 22 ga. galvanized steel.

well, I havent broken it perse'.....I just inherited a BX22 with 1180 hours on it and the HST fan is missing ALL the blades. No clue how long they've been missing but they are. I've bought the replacement fan and plan on repairing it and also getting a skid plate to protect it. This machine doesnt have a MMM but does have FEL and BH.

I wonder how much this little plastic fan cools the HST judging from the number of hours on this tractor and it functions just fine. It may shoot craps tomorrow. I've been around this tractor since it was new and can tell you its been used hard and for more than it was intended.....Kubota has to know this is a weak link on their machines and I wonder why no one has come up with an aftermarket heavy duty metal fan that would chew up the typical small sticks that damage the fan.

Yes, and have replaced it 3 times. :smiley_aafz: Did the work myself and yes it is a character building operation. :mischievous: Haven't protected that area yet but take extra care now and all has been fine. Driving over broken branches has been the reason each time. BX2200 purchased new in 2001.

There is the right way the wrong way and the TBN way of doing things. :laughing: I chose the TBN way by getting two bigger tractors ( David brown and Kubota L3800) to do the rougher work and now keep the BX2200 strictly for yard work and driveway snow removal. Problem solved! :thumbsup:

No. I put a Bro-Tek skid plate on when I owned the BX

Two Bx's- Bx2230-No and Current BX2660 No, But is factory guarded and I use a skidplate when mower deck is off.
