Talking about country music.. I like country music.. it tells a story.. Plus it has more than 3 lines that is played today,, over and over and over till 3 minutes is reached.. The bad or good thing about country music it's about the sad times,, cheating, stealing, killing, drinking, bad spouse, trucks, trains,, prison, mommy,, how high the water, the bridge washed out and going hungry.. Other than that it's pretty must upbeat.. Lou

Anyone else had to constantly run off a tame herd of cows while building a fence cuz they keep getting in the way, messing up string line etc.?

Nope, but a neighbor had a herd of about 125 and when he wanted them to go somewhere, he'd rattle a bucket of range cubes, then set the bucket in the back of his Kawasaki Mule and take off. They'd follow just fine. However, when I was picking up pecans in the pasture, the pecans rattling in a bucket had the same effect on the herd. I'd nearly get run over by that herd.

Every time I grabbed a sack of sackrete they thought I had cubes. Even after pouring it in the hole.

News just said it got down to 32* yesterday AM? I guess it got much cooler after I got home from work and went to bed. I thought the low was supposed to be 40*.

Mowed the leaves yesterday in the yard:laughing: A little fertilizer today and hope we get some of this 30% chance.

First full day of Spring.......11:30 it's 70* and the sun just broke through. Looks like we have a 60% chance of percip tomorrow. Hope to get most of the garden in after we dry out enough. UOD-- Short sleeve shirts, cover and sunglasses.

We had our county's first reported copperhead bite. He is one of our water volleyball players. No it did not happen in the pool, we don't start the season for another two months. More details when I get them.

Congrats Brandi & Dennis! Getting rid of those payments does give you a feeling of Superiority, and is American Capitalism at work.

Thanks, the wife said it would help pay our "mandated" insurance:laughing: I guess that is now part of "our American capitalism" now:shocked: My political rant of the day!

It is warm out? 61* this morning and no rain on the radar.

I love having things paid off, and try hard to not add a new payment into the place of those now gone! I HATE owing, but it is sometimes a necessary thing. I prefer driving things paid for, and maintaining them, to putting new in the collection, if possible.

So, a HUGE CONGRATS to bindian and Western on getting rid of some payments!!! Let's you put money in the bank for something you want in the future!

I will never paid my house off.. When we bought this one in town.. we got it at 2.75 interest.. for 30 years.. with the options of someone taking up the note.. beside I will be 95 when I get it paid off.. I may pay cash next time.. with the money I saved on this one.. :D.. Lou

You are not saving anything paying interest. HS.

Thanks Y'all. I am getting excited about having the money to pay down bills. One more payment on the 401k loan also! I am beginning to see the light at the end of the retirement tunnel.

Dennis,
I am in the market for an old beat up jon boat to do some duck related projects on the pond's island. A shaded area and a ramp for low water levels. Do you have an old one hiding anywhere? I will be searching Texas' Craigslists tonight for one.
These ducks sure are getting expensive. But I will have the economics down for the next batch.
hugs, Brandi
