Spring/summer? Not fair it's still winter here in the Northeast!

   / Texas Spring/Summer Thread #4,042
That's what I thought, but if it stinks so bad why would she have it for firewood?

Sent from my HTC One Max using TractorByNet

She wasn't saving it for firewood. She was saving it for other unknown purposes and just happen to have it cut to firewood length and just "happened" to store it in the barbeque shed.
hugs, Brandi

Whoa! You look like you need a serious pen trap for those hogs.

Kyle: Good luck with your spuds, bud. I'll get my onion sets (bulbs) into the ground this week . . . I think. Farmgirl: I never have a problem with deer because I use a simple, light-weight 7' deer fence fabric available from TSC or many other stores. It's cheap and easily strings up on 8' T-posts. It will keep your deer at bay and put a smile on your face because it is the easiest solution. My wife came in with a fist-full of asparagus yesterday. Where I had a brain-fail and tilled is doing just fine. I look forward to lots of tasty meals and salads this year.:licking: With asparagus, you have to be patient and give it a couple of years, but it will reward your patience with many delicious spears in the years to come. Ground prep, good, rich soil (chicken manure is excellent fertilizer) and good water will make you more asparagus than you can eat.:)

And my wife bought a couple of potted plants; flowers already blooming, and re-potted them in a much bigger pot outside yesterday.

Never, NEVER believe the weather people. None of them put food on your table. It was 28 F on my west side deck this morning and our car said 31 F with frost on the rear glass. I hope your tomatoes survive. Always better to be safe than sorry.:(

That's why we have this separate thread. We aren't snobs, but realize we have totally different weather. I sure hope spring comes to the northeast for good very soon. You folks need some breaks.

I "felt safe" with a 7* ""spread"" Glad I wasn't at the horse races:eek:. I'm hoping they survived, they are small and buried pretty deep, should know by the afternoon.

I was just thinking that I might be willing to adopt Spot, if Don would kill, skin, and gut him first.

Bird, I think BlueRiver knows somebody in Muenster who could help you with those chores.;)

Spot is not for eating . . .just like Oscar and Whipper are off limits. . I do have a non-rat-catching yellow cat that you might be interested in.

Yeah, and we need to go up there, too, because I'm nearly out of smoked cheddar and completely out of their smoked bratwurst.
