I have been kicking around an HF QH, but need some advice. Everything fits, except my KK rotary cutter, which is a bit too wide on the pins. I know I can move and reweld where the pins would be narrower, but that seems excessive just to get the 1/2" I need to adjust the fit. Question is this - would it be OK to turn one of the pins to the inside to give me the clearance I need? Looks like it would fit then, but I didn't know if that would throw the PTO shaft off center enough to matter.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

It is not hard to use a jack and bend the QH arms outward a small amt with no damage to function. A half inch would be OK ... just be sure it wont be too wide for the other implements.

If you turned one of the pins the toplink would no be centered so the QH would not work.

Looks like there is about 2 1/2" to 3" spread where my top link would hook up - wouldn't that be enough wiggle room for the hook on the QH? Would I gain any room with the HF adapter for top link?

You can try flipping a pin. If that doesn't work then you modify the rotary cutter.

I don't like the top link adapter, you don't get the full advantage of the quick hitch because you still have to hook up the toplink.

What is the best way to modify? I have tried moving the uprights (with the pins) to the inside of the brackets welded to the deck, but it puts the toplink mount too close together. May need to shorten the bushing used in the toplink mount. Thought about cutting the brackets and moving closer together, but have no way of bending the uprights to make them come out square at the toplink mount.

What KK rotary cutter do you have?

I have a 60" KK rotary. This is about the only attachment I have that is a real bear to hook. Box blade, rear blade are easy to manhandle around, but this cutter wears me out - have had surgeries on elbows, shoulder, and wrists, so I lose about as often as I win when I wrestle with this thing. The spread on the pins is about 28" due to the shoulders on the pins.

It is too dark to get pics this evening, I will post a couple tomorrow. Appreciate you taking time to answer, hopefully, I can get this figured out and get a QH that will fit all the implements.

Your rotary should have a float kit for your QH.
